For now and ever later, the system of beliefs of relation between the galactic stars to the details of our birth--forming a personality basis of ours--has been considered pseudoscience or superstition. Historians, however, inclusively use personality intelligence tests and astrology to study major characters of the past.

Removing all consideration of results coincidence, we can still look at a table of personality profiles and relations between other profiles and analyze just that information for our social understanding. We do not necessarily have to believe in the stars having relation to us to learn about them.

The most recognized form of astrology is of the Western stars. This is based on the month and day, of whatever year in which you were born.

I have been studying this for a very long time, so I would rather combine my experiments than trust some online links (most of which I agree with at a high ratio). I will keep this simple to a list with a footer note on relations.*

*Signs within a distance of four from each other (e.g. Rat, Dragon, Monkey) are compatible signs that are all in the same spiritual tribune. Your enemy sign is distanced at six items (e.g. Rat's enemy Horse).
**Actually, if you were born in January or February, depending on the current year and cycle, it is possible that your true sign on the Eastern zodiac is that of the previous year. I'll stay out of the huge tables on that, though, since--like with the old zodiac--if you were born very close to an adjacent sign, your personality is complex and of course may exhibit traits from the signs that are in a bond.

I could prove you're a bot, but I'll just link to a test on personality intelligence. It's really cool to be able to get a scientific reading on your traits based on your input, that's not some absurd prejudicial test or something. I scored INFJ on that test.

Almost everyone I polled on that test and their personality description, they had some satisfaction with. I don't think mine is dead-on accurate or anything...I just focus on the part that is accurate in my description, because it shows that there was correlative thinking done in the general traits of one division. Grr, now I'm writing in bot language.

By contrast, astrology was separated over a century ago in the change of scientific progress, and most scientists don't take the field seriously, let alone concern it in their research. What intrigues me though, may it be my biased hallucination perhaps, is still what seems to be a notable coincidence in the elementary (grr needs to watch bot terms) traits of each sign relating to the style of one who was born in its time, sometimes even the Greek-mythological deities of whom the planets were named after.

My ruling planet, Mercury, was named from the messenger god Hermes. The planet itself through astrology is attributed to communication and mentality. Another mutable sign (earth element), Virgo, is also ruled by this planet. The polar opposite planet, Jupiter, is the domicile of Saggittarius, my polar opposite sign that is named after Zeus, Leader of Gods.

There are a couple things, through "traditional astrology", you could be referring to. You could be referring to the commonly recognized Western default, using the twelve icons instantiated here, or you could be referring to the ancient, unreformed time system of ranges and house orders given to those signs in this method of astrology. You could be referring to the superstition concept behind astrology itself.

In either case, you are right that many websites (I personally believe the one I linked to in here as well.) demonstrate a biased naivety in their text information on astrology. I like being naive; you see I just don't like being biased. It's a human effort to avoid that, subconsciously. That's why I see a faith of light in astrology, but I would never teach it to someone as fact, despite any measure of coincidence standing in isolation.

Saying that astrology is rather vague in answers about compatibility is a bit broken in a sense, because astrology doesn't derive from fact. The judgments offered by it don't come from proven science, so the thing itself is not the device that is in question. Rather the other way around: It is what you read about compatibility that is in question, in its attempted reference to study astrology. It is "astrology" that is the source, "compatibility" that is the receiver.
